BioAfter graduating from Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton CA in 1989, I left the East Bay suburbs for the redwood forest and Humboldt State University.
After receiving my BA and Teaching Credential at HSU, I began a ten-year career at Zoe Barnum High School in Eureka CA.
In 2003, I left the country for a year. Living in Senegal, West Africa, I was making documetary movies for a non-profit organization called Tostan. You can check them out at www.tostan.org
Now, I happy to have returned home to the Bay Area. I am finishing my third year at Skyline High School in Oakland CA, where I teach world history for freshmen.
